Year 4 Enrolment Terms And Conditions
Attendance and Missed Lessons
If a student is absent, we will endeavour to cover the work that has been missed but do not refund for missed lessons. We are unable to offer catch-up sessions or change of days, but parents are welcome to collect the weekly homework.
Additional Support
Under certain circumstances, where a student needs extra support, we may recommend additional books or materials. The cost of this material is not covered by our standard fees. We may also be in a position to offer additional 1:1 support if a child is struggling or needs extra help to keep up.
Online Tuition
A small number of sessions may be delivered online, including those marked with an asterisk (*) on the course schedule. While we aim to keep to the planned format, occasionally online delivery is the most practical option. These sessions are very effective and follow the same structure and expectations as in-person lessons.
Our Learning Approach
We strive to create a calm, respectful, and focused learning environment. We ask that all students show kindness and give their best effort. If a student’s behaviour affects their own learning or that of others, or impacts the wellbeing of anyone in the group, we’ll work closely with parents to address it immediately. In very rare cases where issues cannot be resolved, we may need to withdraw a student from the course. Please note that while the usual notice period still applies, a child may be asked to stop attending immediately.
Cancellation and Fee Policy
We understand that plans can change, and you might need to withdraw your child from the course. We ask that you provide written notice at least eight teaching sessions in advance if you need to withdraw. This notice applies only to actual teaching weeks and excludes term breaks and holidays. Providing this notice allows us to manage scheduling effectively and keep the course running smoothly. If a child leaves partway through the course, we may charge for any books or materials already supplied.
Copyright and Use of Materials
All materials created in-house are copyright. You agree not to copy, publish, or distribute any material without our written permission. All assessment papers and mock tests are kept in-house for internal use.
Access to Tops’ online practice/testing site is solely for your child’s benefit. As a parent and user of this site, you agree that access is solely for the personal and private use of your child. You will not print, save, or share the content with any third party. All content is copyright, and any printing, transfer, distribution, copying, or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
Bank Holidays
Students due to attend classes on bank holidays will be offered a change of day within the same week. No refund will be given if a child is unable to attend.
Fees and Payments
Fees are payable by standing order according to the agreed instalment schedule. The initial payment is non-refundable. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to pause tuition until the matter is resolved. Where late payment results in additional administrative work, we may apply a reasonable admin fee of £35 for each follow-up email or invoice issued.
Data Protection and Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you provide, including details about your child’s learning needs, is handled with strict confidentiality and stored securely in accordance with data protection laws.
