Our comprehensive course is designed to prepare students for all aspects of the 11+ exam. Specialising in 11+ preparation for all grammar (GL Assessment) and independent school admissions (ISEB Pre-test), we ensure that every child understands, masters and perfects the techniques needed to tackle the exams. In addition to covering the entire 11+ syllabus which includes verbal and non-verbal reasoning, maths and problem solving, we focus on building vocabulary and developing comprehension skills. Emphasis is placed on mastering and perfecting the techniques needed to tackle the broad range of challenging questions. Students are taught methods to answer questions quickly and they are shown techniques to help solve reasoning problems.

At Tops, we understand that every child learns differently. That’s why we provide three unique tuition formats to suit different learning styles and needs.

Our core programme is Group Tuition – this is an excellent choice for most children, providing structured learning in a small, focused group environment. For those who need a different approach and may not thrive in a group setting, our 1:2 tuition provides a balance of personalised teaching and peer interaction – your child can pair up with a friend (if the dynamic works well), or we can match them with another child of similar ability. Some children respond best in a one-to-one setting with dedicated time to work on their unique goals and areas of focus – to meet those needs, we also offer 1:1 tuition.

Whether your child thrives in a collaborative group setting or benefits from more focused, personalised support, we have a solution to help them build confidence and achieve their goals.

All options include regular progress updates and follow a fixed, term-time schedule to ensure consistency and ease of planning. Whichever path you choose, your child will benefit from expert teaching, proven resources, and a supportive environment designed to help them succeed.
